Linseed oil is a supplement that contains both the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (alpha-linolenic fatty acid) and the omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid (linoleic fatty acid).
In addition, linseed is known to be an abundant source of lignans, the second group of phyto-oestrogens after isoflavones.
