Artifor – Production and protection of cartilage

Actions / Effects

Restoration of cartilage and tendons by the provision of:

  • glucosamine which ensures flexibility of connective tissues
  • Ω-3 fatty acids which ensure fluidity and stability and have an anti-inflammatory role
  • sulphur which has an anti-inflammatory role and ensures cellular cohesion.

Product information

Cartilage is of crucial importance to the suppleness of the joints. Consisting of glucosamine, this substance plays a part in the formation of the articular surface, the synovial fluid, ligaments, tendons, nails, heart valves, blood vessels, etc.

Glucosamine is the most important factor in the biosynthesis of proteoglycans such as chondroitin-sulphate and hyaluronic acid. These proteoglycans give collagen its structure and make the connective tissues flexible.

DHA is one of the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids which make up the structure of the cell membranes and make them fluid and stable.

M.S.M. (methyl sulphonyl methane) is a form of natural organic sulphur found in all living organisms. Sulphur plays an important role in the metabolism of protein, muscles, connective tissues, the skin and cartilage. It is easier for the cells to absorb vitamins and other nutritional substances if they are absorbed with M.S.M.
